Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies were called in to a house to address a man who was trashing a house. When officers arrived to the scene, they attempted to take 23-year-old Edward P. Koziel into custody for the destruction he was causing.

Police say Koziel resisted arrest aggressively, causing an injury to one of the arresting officers. He was charged with second degree assault, a class D felony, resisting arrest and fourth degree criminal mischief, both of which are class A misdemeanors.

Koziel is currently in jail, held on bail set at $25,000 cash or $75,000 bond. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
