PHOTOS: Murdered child remembered with statewide candle lighting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A child who was murdered after a false amber alert was put out saying he was abducted is being remembered.

Soon after his death, media jumped on the story, and as people learned Kenneth White’s story, many became appalled. A Facebook group quickly picked up steam gaining almost 30,000 members within only a few hours.

Members of the group each committed to lighting a candle or leaving their porch light on throughout  the evening in remembrance of the 5-year-old’s life.
