VIDEO: Man steals leg lamp from North Tonawanda “A Christmas Story” display

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Grinch is on the loose in North Tonawanda. The owner of Yankee Spirits is asking for help identifying a thief who stole the key piece of the store’s Christmas display.

Every year, the owner puts up a Christmas display in the front window with a items from “A Christmas Story,” the iconic movie about a boy named Ralphie who wants a Red Ryder BB gun.

In surveillance video from the store, a man in a gray sweatshirt and sunglasses is seen walking in and grabbing a leg lamp from the Christmas display and runs out.

The owner says even his customers are mad about this theft.
