Crews knock down flames on Forest Avenue

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A structure fire in Buffalo brought several crews to Forest Avenue Thursday night. The fire started on the first floor and spread to the second. firefighters

Crews knocked down the flames pretty quickly, but there was one challenge.

Buffalo Fire Department Division Chief Michael Biasillo said, “We did have one problem with the hydrant, but we will have the water department look at it.”

“We had another company stretch a few lines so it wasn’t a huge problem, just a little delay,” Biasillo explained.

Crews said it appears the house is vacant.
