Man accused of shooting at mobile home park

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center, after a New Year’s Eve shooting at the Expressway Village Trailer Park in the Town of Niagara.

Troopers responded to a call around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, and found Douglas K. Walck, 43, outside his trailer with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Walck told police the alleged shooter, Thomas M. Lasher, 49, fired two additional rounds at the trailer.

The victim told police he was in a physical altercation with Lasher inside his trailer. Afterward, he went outside to see if Lasher had left the scene. That’s when shots were fired, according to Walck.

Police took Lasher into custody at his home address without incident. Police said they secured a 20 gauge shotgun from the residence.

Lasher is being treated for injuries he sustained during the altercation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
