Man admits firing shots from Spaulding Lake home

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man admits to firing rifle shots from the second floor of his Spaulding Lake home, Wednesday evening.

New York State Police responded to a call on Lakestone Court, in Clarence, at 5:30 p.m. Resident Thomas Woodman told police he fired three rounds from his 30.06 rifle into the island of his cul da sac.

Woodman told police he was upset about a recent break up and acted on impulse, shooting at a traffic cone across the street.

Woodman was charged with reckless endangerment and illegally discharging a firearm.  He will appear in Clarence Court next week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
