Stabbing suspect found hiding in brush

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is accused of stabbing a male numerous times on the porch of a Falconer Street home, in Jamestown, early Friday morning. The victim was found laying on the sidewalk.

Police said the victim was transported by Starflight to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania where he is in the Intensive Care Unit.

Police said 24-year-old Randy A. Yanik Jr, of Busti, was arrested several blocks from the scene, hiding in some brush. Police said a K9 helped locate the suspect on East 2nd Street.
