BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Names seem to be added to the Bills’ coaching search on an hourly basis at this point, with several new faces on the list today.
The latest is Kyle Shanahan, whose father, Mike Shanahan, interviewed with the team Sunday, according to the AP. Multiple reports say the Bills requested permission to interview Kyle Shanahan, the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator.
The Washington Post is reporting the Bills also requested permission to speak with ex-Browns head coach Pat Shurmur, who is currently the OC with the Eagles. ESPN is reporting 49ers OC Greg Roman is on their wish-list for interviews as well.
The Bills have interviewed a handful of candidates – reportedly Mike Shanahan, Denver OC Adam Gase, San Diego OC Frank Reich, Seattle OC Darrell Bevell, and Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
They have also requested interviews with New England OC Josh McDaniels, Indianapolis OC Pep Hamilton, Cincinnati OC Hue Jackson, and Detroit DC Teryl Austin. Current Bills DC Jim Schwartz is expected to be in the mix at some point as well.
