JAVA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man was bringing bail money to another man at Wyoming County Jail on Friday, when he was arrested himself. The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said 40-year-old Robbie L. Wagner and 27-year-old Jarred M. Matyjasik are facing charges.
Wagner, of Java, was arrested for driving with an expired and suspended license on Java Lake Road. Wagner, who has eight active suspensions, was arrested on traffic and marijuana charges.
Wagner was arraigned, and his friend, Matyjasik, of Eagle, went to court to provide his bail money. The sheriff’s office said a strong smell of marijuana came from Matyjasik’s vehicle while they spoke to him.
The sheriff’s office said they searched Matyjasik’s vehicle and found about 34 grams of marijuana. He was arrested for fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
Wagner and Matyjasik are both due in court this week.
