Schumer to discuss radioactive waste

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – United State Senator Chuck Schumer is expected to be in western New York Monday morning, to call for action about radioactive waste buried behind families’ homes. LANDFILL

News 4 Investigates has tracked the toxic trouble for years at the old Town of Tonawanda landfill. Last year,  News 4 talked to neighbors, as well as the Army Corps of Engineers.

The feds never came up with a clean-up plan. The radioactive waste is mostly uranium, leftovers from the creation of the first atomic bomb.
