CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – New Buffalo Bills Head Coach Rex Ryan landed in western New York late Tuesday morning. Ryan arrived at Prior Aviation around 10 a.m.
The Bills Vice President of Communications Scott Berchtold was at the airport to greet him, along with several other members of the Bills public relations staff.
The media was allowed on the tarmac to film Ryan get off the plane, but wasn’t allowed to speak with him. The team will introduce Ryan as head coach during a press event Wednesday.
Ryan got off the plane Tuesday with a big smile on his face. He was traveling with his wife. An entourage of five men followed them off the plane.
Fans hope to learn Ryan’s plans for the Bills. There is a lot of buzz around who will be on the sidelines with Ryan next season.
Ryan reportedly has agreed to five-year deal, with a $5.5 million per year salary. Ryan is one of the 12 coaches the Bills were in talks with and this deal makes them the first NFL team this off season to fill their head coaching vacancy.
About an hour and a half after Ryan arrived in Buffalo, Terry and Kim Pegula flew in with Buffalo Bills President Russ Brandon.
