Bills work to sack hunger in WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Bills are trying to sack hunger in western New York. The Bills teamed up with Tops Friendly Markets and Campbell’s Chunky Soup.

The Bills are donating 20 cans of soup for every tackle that players made over the season. They made 968 tackles, that adds up to more than 19,000 cans of soup.

Tops is launching its newest campaign of “Check out Hunger,” on Sunday.

Tops Friendly Markets’ Andy Brocato said, “We will ask out customers and our associated to donate two, three and five dollars while customers are checking out at the registers. And that will go back to the Food Banks in their local areas. This is a statewide program, and it will help out those less fortunate.”
