Larkin Square holds first annual Ice Festival

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Dozens of families came out to enjoy the ice festival at Larkin Square on Seneca Street.

This was the first year for the Ice Festival and it was a hit. Organizers told News 4 they had the perfect combination of snow and sunshine.

Children were able to enjoy sledding down big mounds of snow hills.

The square wasn’t the only place participating in the event. Down the street, Flying Bison Brewery featured food and drinks and across the street, people were able to check out artists at the Filling Station.

“We thought let’s do something that would be winter fun,” said Leslie Zemsky, Director of Fun for Larkin Sqaure. “When the snow came we were so excited, and then the sun came out. We have a lot going on, including live music across the street.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
