Blues stay hot, shut out Sabres 3-0

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Sabres, fresh off a 14-game losing streak, ran into a St. Louis team tonight that’s now on a seven-game winning streak. The Blues stayed hot tonight, winning 3-0.

Jake Allen turned away all 19 shots he faced for the shutout. At the other end of the ice, Jhonas Enroth played well, despite the loss. Enroth finished with 27 saves on 29 shots.

Dmitrij Jaskin broke a scoreless tie late in the second period to give the Blues the lead heading into the final period. Vladimir Tarasenko made it 2-0 in the third, before Jaden Schwartz added a late empty-netter.
