National Grid awards up to $350k to Yancey’s Fancy

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) – National Grid announced that it has awarded grants up to $350,000 to support Western New York cheese manufacturer, Yancey’s Fancy.

The funding will assist in the construction of their new facility’s electric infrastructure, and other advanced technology. With the opening slated for March of this year, 50 new jobs will be created while maintaining the 100 other it currently has.

“Yancey’s Fancy is a thriving local company that is creating jobs and a strong brand here in Western New York and across the country,” said Dennis Elsenbeck, regional executive for National Grid in Western New York, in a prepared statement.
