Cashier allegedly conspires to steal from store

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A cashier in Batavia is accused of conspiring with others to steal goods from a store.

Janet Marie Knauss, 49, of Caledonia, is accused of working with two other people in separate incidents, to enter fake discounts, void transactions and bag items that were not scanned.

The alleged stolen goods were worth $1,400. Knauss is accused grand larceny, falsifying business records and conspiracy.
