Man accused of stealing, hiding items in pants

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two people are accused of stealing items from the Dollar General store in Lockport on February 7th. New York State Police said $80 worth of underwear and DVDs were stolen from the store.

New York State Police said Donald M. Shaw, 40, of Lockport, and Cindy A. Battistoni, 42, of Akron, were arrested for petit larceny.  Shaw is accused of putting items in his pants, and Battistoni allegedly put items in her purse.

Shaw and Battistoni were arraigned in Lockport Town Court and committed to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
