Survivor castaway from WNY discusses week two of the hit show

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Grand Island resident and Survivor 30 Castaway, Kelly Remington, spoke about week two of the show on Wake Up Thursday morning. It’s a battle of the classes on the 30th season of Survivor.

Remington is on the blue collar team, or the working class team. She was a quiet castaway in Wednesday night’s episode, sitting out during the challenge. It was all part of her plan.

She explained, “If we lose Dan’s going home, I’m not gonna look like a fool on national TV swimming, and if we won it’s a win all around.”

Remington skipped the challenge and luckily, no one from the blue collar team was eliminated.

As for any off-camera drama that viewers miss out on, Remington says, “You don’t see all the fighting we do about food out there… I was begging the crew for some Snickers bars and trying to bribe ‘em.”

Vince, from the no collar team, was sent home. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
