BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo postal worker who pleaded guilty to obstruction of the mails skirted jail time when she was sentenced Tuesday.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Jennifer Paonessa, 33, was saddled with a $250 fine Tuesday — less than the maximum six-month-sentence and $5,000 fine.
Officials say she didn’t deliver mail which was entrusted to her for delivery. They say she took 15 Victoria Secret coupons for her own use.
Paonessa is no longer a U.S. Postal employee.
