Bulls lose first NCAA tourney game in UB history

CLEVELAND, Oh. (WIVB) — In a historic Friday on the first day of Spring, the UB Bulls faced off against a higher ranked competitor but came short in the first NCAA tournament game in the school’s history.

Buffalo fell to West Virginia University, the number five seed in their bracket in Cleveland Friday. The Bulls started slow but laid it on thick towards the end of the game with just minutes to go, UB looked poised to make a final rally. UB tied up WVU 62 to 62 on a three pointer. They fell to their opponent 68 to 62.

WVU will play the winner of another Friday game between Maryland — another number five seed — and Valparaiso — a 13 seed. The Bulls will return home with a still historic season under their belts.
