Jamestown man faces up to 20 years behind bars if guilty

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Federal charges could put one man in the slammer for 20 years.

Police say they arrested Ismael Burgos 53, after he was investigated for alleged drug dealings. A federal grand jury returned an indictment Friday which charged Burgos with attempted possession with intent to distribute cocaine. They say in January Burgos allegedly attempted to retrieve a package with a large amount of cocaine in it.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the case will continue against him via a trial which will determine his guilt or innocence. His charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years behind bars.
