Bandits play well in win over Swarm

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — Buffalo came out strong and played a complete game Saturday night at the First Niagara, beating the Minnesota Swarm 12-8. Mark Steinhuis led the Bandits with three goals and three assists. Dhane Smith contributed three goals and two assists. Ryan Benesch added two goals and three assists.

The Bandits led 9-5 at the half, giving them a comfortable lead heading into the second portion of the game.

Bandits head coach Troy Cordingley told “That’s what happens when we share the ball because we have such a creative bunch and we’re very talented that way,” Cordingley added. “When everybody’s touching it, and everybody’s a part of it, and everybody’s willing to do the seals and the pick-and-rolls, we had some nice plays early on.”

The Bandits will take on the New England Black Wolves April 4th at the First Niagara Center. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
