An inside look at Getzville Fire Company’s training facility

GETZVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Volunteer firefighters from the Getzville Fire Company hit the training course today for their annual Grit Weekend.

Getzville firefighters train at the “Burn Box” on the corner of Dodge Road and Campbell Boulevard.

The facility provides a realistic run-through of an emergency fire call. The Getzville Fire Company invites other local fire departments to train there also.

A Getzville volunteer also provided footage from a firefighter’s helmet camera.

Watch the video included for the full effect of fighting fire through a firefighter’s eyes.
