Deadline arrives for BPS transfer requests

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – If you want to move your child out of a failing school in Buffalo, Tuesday is the day. It’s the deadline to request a transfer. There are 45 failing schools right now.

Former President Bush’s No Child Left Behind Act makes these transfers possible. It requires each student to have the option to go to a school in good standing.

You can access the application to request a transfer on BuffaloSchools.org. Click this link to go directly to the page.
