Man charged with estranged girlfriend’s murder

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man was arraigned on an indictment charging him with second-degree murder Tuesday. Raymond Smith, 23, is accused of beating and choking his estranged girlfriend to death.

Shaquilla Coston, 21, died around January 31st or February 1st, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said. Smith allegedly murdered her in her home on Northumberland Avenue.
