Niagara Falls man charged with DWI, speeding and other crimes

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police stopped a car after they noticed the driver speed by this weekend while moving between lanes.

New York State Troopers say they pulled over Ronald A. Healey, 27, to investigate reckless driving on Lewiston Road. They say during an investigation they smelled alcohol coming from his person. Police say Healey failed field sobriety tests and was arrested afterwards.

Police gave Healey a breathalyzer test, which said his blood alcohol content was .10 percent. Police charged him with DWI, speeding, moving from a lane unsafely, failure to keep right and improper signal.

Healey will be back in court on April 1. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
