Rolling Stones return to WNY this summer

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Rolling Stones will return to western New York this summer. The much-anticipated tour date was released Tuesday morning.

The 15-city tour will be at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Saturday, July 11. The last time the Rolling Stones played a concert in the region was at the Ralph in 1997.

“We are excited to be back in North America playing stadiums this summer!  We are looking forward to being back on stage and playing your favorite songs,” Mick Jagger said in a statement.

Tickets for these dates will go on sale Monday, April 13.  Ticket information will be posted to RollingStones.com. Fans with American Express card members can purchase tickets for US dates before the general public, beginning Wednesday, April 8.

The Tampa Bay Rays’ website leaked the Rolling Stones’ tour dates early Tuesday.

There has been a lot of speculation about the Stones coming to western New York. Billboards popped up across the nation, and here in Buffalo, hinting at a Rolling Stones show.
