Man pleads guilty to drug charges, faces up to $5 million fine

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man is facing a hefty jail sentence and fines after pleading guilty to cocaine charges.

Andrew Owens, 49, pleaded guilty to conspiracy with intent to distribute,  and to distribute, 28 grams of crack cocaine Wednesday in federal court.

Police say Owens conspired with a group of people over about a year to buy and sell crack cocaine in Buffalo’s city limits.

Owens will face a minimum sentence of five years behind bars, a maximum sentence of 40 years and a potential fine of up to $5,000,000. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
