Marshals offer $5,000 reward for Ceglia’s capture

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The hunt for a wanted man who was living in western New York is heating up.

The U.S. Marshals placed Wednesday a $5,000 reward for the location and arrest of Paul Ceglia. They say they’re still looking for the man who fled while he was out of jail on bail. Ceglia was set to go to court on federal charges of mail and wire fraud. He allegedly tried to scheme Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg out of money through a civil suit.

Marshals say there’s a chance he could be in western New York still. Ceglia may have been seen on Friday, March 6 at the Wegmans on 24 South Bridge Street in Corning. He may have been purchasing a vehicle.

Anybody with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshals at 800-336-0102. Police are also searching for his missing family.
