Troopers stop alleged drunk driver on I-86

POLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police along the I-86 say a routine traffic stop resulted in a DWI arrest.

New York State Troopers pulled over Kris C. James, a 54-year-old Jamestown native, on Monday in Poland. They say during an interview Troopers smelled alcohol on his person and they gave him field sobriety tests. Police say he failed them and was arrested and brought to Jamestown.

Police say a breathalyzer test revealed a .14 blood alcohol content, and he was charged with driving while intoxicated.
