Hundreds participate in the spring egg-stravaganza

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Hundreds participated Friday in an egg-stravaganza — a celebration of every animal which is born from an egg.

In the sixth annual egg-stravaganza, children met all types of animals, from turtle to chick.

“It’s not just birds and chickens. We have turtles and snakes,” Meghan Dye, experience manager of Tifft Nature Preserve, said. “Fish hatch from eggs, insects hatch from eggs. More than just chickens.”

Those parents and children enjoyed a host of fun events.

“Face painting, Easter eggs, we got to make some fun crafts,” Kevin Culm, a father, said. “They get to pet the chicks. She really liked to pet the chick.”
