AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – If you are ready to part with books that you have already read, now is the time to donate them to one of the biggest used book sales in this part of the country.
The American Association of University Women, Buffalo Chapter, has sponsored a used book sale for decades to raise money for scholarships and educational programs.
The Chapter is now collecting books, CDs, games and puzzles for the sale, which runs May 27th through May 31st.
The sale is in the same location as it was last year: next to Jo-Ann Fabric in the Burlington Plaza, 1551 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst. Volunteers are at the site collecting and organizing books Monday-Friday 9-5, Saturdays 9-12, and Tuesdays until 8 p.m
The book sale has become known for its wide array of books of all classifications, as well as collectible and vintage books. It attracts book dealers from several states and Canada and hundreds of book lovers from Western New York.
The AAUW does not accept textbooks, magazines, video tapes, records or encyclopedias. For more information: http://www.aauw.buffalo.edu
