Man arrested for pills after passing DWI sobriety tests

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — After a traffic stop for not wearing a seat belt, police found several other crimes to arrest a Niagara Falls man on.

New York State Troopers pulled over Jerome I. Watkins, 56, and say they smelled alcohol, so they gave a field sobriety test. Police say he passed the test, but they found a container of 17 hydrocodone pills he wasn’t supposed to have.

Police arrested him for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, controlled substance in non original container, not wearing a seat belt and unsafe tires.
