BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Weekend patrols by State Police netted several DWI arrests in western New York, one of which became a felony DWI arrest.
Police say in Orchard Park they saw a driver cross the center lane several times on South Abbot Road Sunday morning, and Troopers stopped the driver. Police say after speaking with Kevin J. Flynn, a 35-year-old Hamburg Native, police smelled alcohol.
Flynn failed subsequent field sobriety tests and was arrested. As he had been convicted of DWI within the past 10 years, he was charged with felony DWI.
Troopers stopped a Salamanca man in the Town of Concord Friday night after seeing a car speed down Route 219. Police say they also smelled alcohol on the driver, Kevin E. Glowacki, 37.
Glowacki failed his field sobriety tests and submitted a .10 percent blood alcohol content through a breath test. He was arrested and ticketed for speeding and DWI.
Flynn will return to court on April 21 and Glowacki will return to court on April 20.
