Beech-Nut baby food recalled after pieces of glass discovered

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WIVB) – Beech-Nut is recalling nearly 2,000 pounds of baby food over concerns that it may be contaminated with small pieces of glass.

The food comes from Amsterdam, New York-based Beech-Nut Nutrition, and was produced on December 12, 2014.

The recall only applies to 4-ounce glass jars containing “State 2 Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & chicken.”

The problem was discovered after a consumer complained about finding a small piece of glass in the product. Consumers with questions can contact the Beech-Nut Consumer Hotline at (866) 674-4446 or get more information on their website.
