New York’s medical marijuana takes leap forward

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Final regulations are finally in place for the medical marijuana program, which marks a leap forward in enacting the policy.

Regulations outline conditions covered, or who will be able to use marijuana legally in New York State. Those with cancer, epilepsy, Lou Gherig’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and AIDS will be able to use Marijuana to cope with their medical conditions. .

Five businesses will be licensed to grow and sell the drug.
