Zoo visitors wish polar bear good luck

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  Kiss Kali good bye! The playful polar bear is being transfered to the St. Louis Zoo soon, but Buffalo Zoo visitors had a good couple years to get to know him. News 4 spoke with some of his youngest fans about the two and a half year old, 800 pound bear soon after the transfer was announced.

Kali was born in the wild and arrived at the Buffalo Zoo as an orphan in May of 2013. The Zoo does not know an exact date for his departure. The US Fish and Wildlife expects it to be sometime in the next few weeks.

One of the Buffalo Zoo keepers who works will travel with him to St. Louis and stay there temporarily to help with the transition to his new home.
