Police use Narcan after serious car crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — First responders were forced to use three doses of Narcan after responding to an accident on Delaware Avenue Sunday.

A car hit a pole at 2:30 Sunday afternoon after sideswiping several parked vehicles, and investigators say drugs are likely the cause.

Police say the three inside the car shot up heroin before crashing into the pole near West Delevan Avenue. When first responders hit the scene, police say the occupants were unconscious.

Buffalo Firefighters administered three doses of Narcan, which revived each person. Each was transported to the Erie County Medical Center.

Charges are pending against the occupants.
