ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Lancaster man is accused of violating Leandra’s Law by driving drunk with a child in the car Wednesday morning around 11:30 a.m.
Police in Orchard Park say they stopped Mark A. Sypniewski, 53, for driving through a red light. After stopping him, police say he seemed drunk. Police say he failed subsequent field sobriety tests.
As his 3-year-old granddaughter was in the car, he was arrested and charged with DWI, felony DWI (Leandra’s Law), open container, littering and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say he refused to take tests after being arrested. He’ll be arraigned, but police say this is his second alcohol related arrest.
