Anchor Bar’s expansion plans will add jobs

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – In this case, what happens in Vegas, doesn’t stay in Vegas. Anchor Bar’s first location outside of New York State in the U.S. will open this June.

Another location could mean more jobs. All of the sauce is made here and News 4 found out the company will have to hire more people to keep up with the demand. The new Vegas location will be in The Venetian, in the indoor mall. It won’t be a full service restaurant but you can order all of the same things, or wings,  you would find at a full service restaurant location. At the Vegas location a customer will order at a bar then pick up and food and eat it when it is ready.
Mark Dempsey, the vice president of Anchor Bar, said it just made sense to expand to Vegas.

“With all the Western New Yorkers and Buffalonians that have moved to Vegas over the last few years I think its a natural fit,” said Dempsey. “We plan to expand to additional locations on the West coast as well as regionally here and throughout the State of New York.”

Right now Anchor Bar has five locations, including one in Canada. They serve up 120,000 pounds of chicken every month or 4,000 pounds everyday! provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
