Police search Marine Drive apartment after undercover drug operation

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following up on an undercover drug operation, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies made an arrest Thursday.

Police say undercover operations led deputies to purchase drugs from a man who lived in a Marine Drive apartment. They obtained search warrants afterwards and searched his apartment.

That led deputies to arrest Pedro Hernandez Alvarez, the man who police say sold officers drugs. They say in his apartment was fentanyl and distribution tools.

Hernandez Alvarez was charged with three counts of felony possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two felony counts of criminal sale of narcotics, felony criminal possession of a narcotic drug and two counts of misdemeanor criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

He’ll return to court at a later date.
