Wedding Planner says Buffalo couples plan the big day around Bills schedule

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It has been just a few days since the NFL revealed the Buffalo Bills 20-5 schedule. For Buffalo couples, they can finally start planning their weddings.

For Gabrielle Pagano, her experience as a Wedding Planner can revolve around when the Buffalo Bills schedule is released.
She tells us every year- after the schedule comes out- her clients start making changes to their big day.

Multiple area Wedding Planners tell us they either plan their wedding for the Bills “bye” week…or couples make sure they can shuttle their guests to the home game on Sunday.

Pagano says once that schedule comes out, her job gets more complicated:

“I have seen hotels book up very quickly, prices sky rocket, availability certainly decreases very rapidly. Hopefully some of that will be alleviated with all of the things going on downtown including more hotels. I’m hopeful that will happen.”

On big home game weekends, the biggest challenge for Pagano is booking transportation. She often needs to reserve services from out of town because football fans book them months in advance.
