Which pattern will be the official Bengal plaid?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo State student body is going mad for plaid! One of these four designs will soon become the first official tartan pattern of the college.

Earlier this year, the Fashion and Textile Technology Department challenged students to get creative with the school’s colors — orange and black, with purple accents.

“All of them did different prints,” explained Lecturer Erin Haves. “Then we opened it up to alumni, students, and to pick who they thought should win. This is going to be our first signature Buffalo state plaid that we’ve ever had.”

The winning design will be unveiled at the “Runway” fashion show in the student union at 8 pm on Saturday night. The college will have the pattern officially approved by the Scottish Registry of Tartans. After that, it will be available on clothes and accessories at the school bookstore.
