BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Erie County Sheriff’s office reports Narcotics Detectives raided a Walden Avenue apartment Friday night around 10 p.m. and seized cocaine and a loaded gun.
The Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Buffalo Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant signed by Erie County Court Judge Thomas Franczyk for the Buffalo residence.
During the search, the defendant was found to be in possession of more than a 1/2 kilogram of cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,000. Detectives also recovered a loaded pistol-grip shotgun.
The Detectives investigation also revealed that the defendant was selling the cocaine to individuals from surrounding suburbs.
Marius Austin, 39 of Buffalo, was arrested and charged with a class A1 felony-criminal possession of narcotics, felony criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell, three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Austin is being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
