Entrepreneurs get creative with craft brews on the go

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Just in time for the warm weather, Western New Yorkers have a new way to explore the region with their friends. The Consumer Craft Cruiser offers groups of fifteen people an “eco beer tourism” experience, on board a pedal powered mega-bicycle, fully equipped with a Kegerator and a sound system.

Co-owners Matt Davison and Matt Pokigo teamed up with Neil Kavanaugh of Consumers Beverage to bring the cruiser to the streets of Buffalo, East Aurora, Williamsville, and other surrounding areas this summer. During each tour, riders will be joined on the “Cadillac of beer bikes” by a driver to ensure safety of everyone on board, and a party host to serve as a tour guide.

Crews from the PBS Start Up show have been in Buffalo this week to film scenes with the cruiser, as well as Public Espresso and City Dining Cards, for an upcoming episode.

“They’ve been impressed so far,” Davison said. “They see young enthusiastic people who have a positive attitude about the future of Buffalo. Things are happening. And these are also fun businesses.”

The craft cruiser is currently booking rentals for the summer. You can learn more by following this link.
