ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is behind bars at the request of his significant other following a Thursday domestic dispute.
Police say Ryan M. Broadfuehrer, a 23-year-old Abbot Road resident, got into an argument with is 21-year-old girlfriend around 1 p.m. when things went south. Broadfuehrer is accused of taking his girlfriend’s keys, driver’s license and bank card to prevent her from leaving his house.
Broadfuehrer allegedly went so far as to drain the gas from her car when his girlfriend called for police assistance. Police say that’s when he started kicking her car to damage it, then fled to avoid police.
Orchard Park Police Officers found him about a half hour later in a yard on Hillside Avenue. He’s charged with felony first degree criminal contempt, two counts of felony grand larceny, felony criminal mischief, second degree unlawful imprisonment and attempted criminal tampering.
Broadfuehrer was held pending arraignment.
