Police respond to horses on the loose

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — State Police and the SPCA were lead on a chase that lasted several hours after two horses escaped in the Town of Lockport.

Around 8 a.m. Friday police responded to a report of two mustangs on the loose after they broke through a fence.

The horses traveled north to a field on Rapids Road just east of Transit Road in the Town of Lockport.

After several hours, residents, police and the Niagara County SPCA were able to capture the horses and return them to the farm they had escaped from.

The mustangs had recently been purchased from Nevada.
