Union works hold labor rally against Gov. Cuomo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Many union workers piled into Niagara Square Friday to highlight key issues of the labor movement.

Workers were holding signs opposing Governor Andrew Cuomo’s education policies. Teacher’s unions and school districts recently hosted demonstrations against Cuomo due to his education policies.

Friday’s demonstrators say they are seeking change

“We are demonstrating because Governor Cuomo has forced some education issues down our throats,, and we need to show him that we don’t approve,” Matt Hill, a local teacher, said.

The western New York area Labor federation and the AFL-CIO put on Friday’s rally.
