Van stopped for missing doors, windows, wooden stool on roof

ST. CATHARINES, Ontario (WIVB) – Police in St. Catharines say they stopped a van on Monday for missing doors and other strange modifications.

The van, a 2000 Dodge Caravan had no sliding side doors, rear side windows missing and numerous items sticking out of the sides of the van.

The van also had a “Slow moving vehicle” sign on the tailgate and a wooden stool tied to the roof.

The man driving the van admitted he had a suspended drivers license and the van was not insured.

Police also determined that he had been stopped driving the same vehicle in Fort Erie two weeks ago.

The man, who was 66 years-old, was charged with driving under suspension, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving a vehicle without
