NIAGARA FALLS, ON (WIVB) – In celebration of the birth of the newest member of the Royal Family, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board will be illuminating Niagara Falls in pink from 10:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. on Saturday night.

The illumination of Niagara Falls in commemoration of a royal visit or birth has long been part of the history of Niagara. Niagara Falls was illuminated in blue to mark the birth of Canada’s future monarch, Prince George in July 2013.

The first planned lighting of Niagara Falls took place in the summer of 1860, in honour of the visit of His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII). provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
